Who we are

Charlotte Home Pros helps Charlotte-area homeowners define a project, understand the trades involved, learn what affects scope and cost, compare proposals and find a suitable professional. It is written from a builder's perspective by a publisher associated with Peters Custom Homes and the other Peters businesses listed below.

This site exists because we kept getting the same question from homeowners, friends, and colleagues: "Who do you recommend for [electrical / plumbing / cabinets / tile / landscaping]?" Rather than answering that question one at a time, we built this resource to share what we've learned from direct experience on real Charlotte construction projects.

Why this site exists

The existing options for finding home professionals in Charlotte aren't great. Generic directories list anyone who pays. Review sites can be gamed. Lead-generation platforms sell your contact information to the highest bidder. None of them tell you what actually matters: Is this person good at their job, and can I trust them in my home?

Charlotte Home Pros is different because every professional listed here has been evaluated through direct project collaboration. We've seen their work, watched how they handle problems, and observed their behavior across multiple projects. This isn't a curated list of strangers — it's a list of trades and vendors we would hire for our own projects.

Guides on this site are written from a builder's perspective. Where a guide mentions a Peters business, it answers the homeowner's question first and then identifies the relationship.
